Fluorescein sodium: 500 mg Sodium hydroxide or concentrated hydrochloric acid, pH 8.0 to 9.8, Water for injec-tion, 5 ml for one 5-ml vial; Solution for IV injection; Therapeutic indications: Fluorescein angiograph of the eye fundus - In rare cases: Fluorometry of the vitreous, Fluorometry of the aqueous humour. Posology and method of administration: One 5-ml vial (10%) as a slow intravenous injection. In patients on dialysis: 1/2 of a 5-ml vial (10%) as a slow intravenous injection. Contraindications: Use by the intrathecal or arterial route. Use of this me-dicinal product is generally not advisable if there is an history of severe allergy to products containing fluorescein.
